[Nezumi had been mallynapped and that was kind of a dent to his pride. It was better left unknown what happened for his own sake and he'd come back a week ago, pretty banged up. But thanks to his pride, he'd hidden off somewhere. It wasn't anything life-threatening so he really hadn't needed anybody.

But now he's back and he needs to keep busy. He figures he'll read and now he's curious. Talking to people is a pain, but...]

Lucetians, a moment of your time. [He sounds pleasant for once. You catch more flies with honey and all.] What are your classics? By this question, I mean in literature. [Maybe this is too hard a question for some of the people here. Sorry, Luceti, he isn't very impressed with half of you.] Or just tell me a good novel from your world.

[Hey honey, I'm home. And he's going to act like he didn't disappear and just make his way to his room. Not saying a single word. He looks fine anyway.]

[Sion doesn't look up at first, he just stays seated on the couch, looking exhausted. His hair's a little more ruffled than usual and he has bags under his eyes. What is sleep man.]

[Once the click of the door shutting registers in his head, he slowly looks up... ]

[--Nezumi. Nezumi. Nezumi.

He's really back? He isn't seeing this right? He better not be fucking seeing anything.

His legs move on his own and he gets up from his seat, rushing over to his best friend, grabbing him by the arms to hold him still. No way you're going in your room mister. Sion tries to speak but when his mouth open, nothing comes out. His mind's gone blank.]

[His hands slowly slide off his arms and fall back to his sides and his expression softens. A small, but forced smile tugs at his lips and he speaks quietly]

Welcome home...

[Nezumi doesn't like being touched and even if he's never punched Sion just for touching him? It seems tempting now. Especially for two reasons: how shitty he looks and he didn't lock the door. Plus he's been kidnapped. That makes you grouchy and Nezumi's always grouchy, so...]

You look like shit. I hope you haven't left the apartment looking like that.

[Yes, that's all he has to say. He can figure why and that's why it annoys him. He knew that being gone would probably upset Sion. It doesn't look like he's slept in, well, a while. With how Sion has been raised, he probably can't go long without sleep.

But this is just ridiculous.]

[Sion can only laugh weakly, every little cheerful expression or gesture or noise all seeming rather forced. He's happy to see you, yes, but he's just too tired for this.]

I did. I've been out looking for you ever since you left... [He's going to try and finger brush his hair now to get it to settle back down]

[Nezumi's hand moves forward and he plays with Sion's hair, acting like he's taming it. Sion has a thing for Nezumi's eyes, Nezumi has a thing for Sion's hair.]

You're so easy to read. You probably couldn't even run away from a fight right now you're so exhausted. When are you ever going to learn? If anybody saw you right now and we were back at the Western District...

[His hand drops and he looks away, taking his coat off.] Go sleep or something.

I never really ~~paid attention in school~~ read any of his works thoroughly myself, but there's Shakespeare.

His life just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? But he gives him some credit that he knows Shakespeare exists, considering in his world the arts were censored and nobody knows that much it seems.]

[He let's his hand from his head and instead, reaches forward to grab Nezumi's shirt since his jacket is now gone. Nezumi is right. He's absolutely right.

If Sion was put in a fight right now, he'd collapse on the spot.

If he was seen running around in the Western district like this, he'd be grabbed or something.

But none of that ever mattered to Sion, even if he was back home in the Western District, he'd go out searching all day and night for him.

His red eyes slowly fill with tears] I thought... I thought you might've been sent back. [It's wrong to not want Nezumi to go home. He doesn't like it here, he'd rather be back in the Western District. He'd rather be away from Sion. But he can be selfish for just this once]

[Not his fault what happened during that event happened! It was all because of the experiment... which is why Otonashi was slightly hesitant to even respond to Nezumi, seeing as how their first meeting went terribly.

And it clearly seems like Nezumi is still butthurt about it.]

What's that supposed to mean?

[With everything that has gone on since he's arrived to this world, he's about to take it out on Sion. He grabs his chin and makes him look at him.]

You're so weak. [And yet he's not. Nezumi knows everything that he's capable of and just how strong he is. Nezumi's eyes scan Sion's face and then he let's go, wishing he could go back home. He's not near Sion and no, he doesn't want to be near him but it's complicated.

He makes his voice sound more calm.] And you're being overemotional. You're tired. Next you'll be crying about your mama.

[Otonashi, first thing to learn about Nezumi: he is always butthurt.]

It means that I am surprised you know of Shakespeare.

[He's also blunt.]

[Looks like Otonashi's got that lesson down.. And now he knows the blunt part too. Ruuuude.]

Doesn't everyone?

[Sion has no energy to fight back. His mind isn't awake enough to tell him to argue and try to make Nezumi see that he isn't weak, that he isn't being overemotional. He has every right and every reason to be upset like this.

His head just drops the moment Nezumi let's go, like he was relying on the other to hold it up for him. Like his neck just doesn't want to hold it up any longer. The tears begin to fall from his eyes and drip onto the floor.]

No...

For horror or suspense, I like Stephen King. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or Edgar Allen Poe for classic mystery. Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe for classic English drama, and Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, and F. Scott Fitzgerald for American literature.

... Shakespeare is one of the most common answers where I am from. [Eyes of course read and studied them under his mother's care, the more peaceful time of his life.]

There's a very popular series where I come from, called Holy Knight. I don't suppose you've heard of it?

It really depends on the genre, doesn't it? You can take the easy route of those classic western writers, Shakespeare, Poe, Dickens, Twain, Dante, Virgil, and the like, or Murasaki Shikibu, but sometimes the most insightful stories are of mystery - or romance. Christie, Marsh and Van Dine are some of the most talented novelists I've read.

Most of the classics from my world are allegories about Devaloka and such... I've found that I like the classics from other worlds much better.

[Because, while his parents are believers, he's never really been one for religion.]

[He knows Sion is crying and he walks away for a moment, getting something to wipe his tears away when he comes back. Nezumi actually does wipe his tears away as he frowns.]

Stop it. I'm not gone and you're acting more dumb than usual.

[He pulls his hand away and tries to lead Sion to his room. Honestly if he didn't think that Sion was probably going to start bawling or something dumb, he'd just push him down the hall.]

[And that's said politely. Nezumi's really a nice guy, learn this too.]

[He's a little surprised by the selection she gave. Those are names from his world and he's not used to many people knowing them.]

That is quite the extensive list you gave me, though I know many of them.

[He hasn't heard of Stephen King, though. His world had changed before that.]

I will give Stephen King a try.

[It's still really surprising to him that people keep listing Shakespeare.]
